Clear Prep FX Matte Foundation Primer and Anti-Acne Treatment Gel Review
I had become a bit disillusioned with make-up primers of late. I just hadn’t found one that didn’t feel heavy. The ones I was trying were always being raved about, but felt like an oil slick going on and they didn’t make my make-up last, which is the primary thing I look for in my primer.
Enter Clear Prep FX Matte Foundation Primer and Anti-Acne Treatment Gel. I got this as a sample in a Beauty Army Box and decided to pack it for my beach vacation as it was small, and I wasn’t planning on wearing that much make-up anyway. This stuff stood up to the Florida heat and humidity and kept my make-up on like armor--no streaky make-up, no sweating it off. It evened out my skin for that perfect palette upon which to apply foundation that all primers promise. It kept the shine down. And most impressive to me, it really did help fight the blemishes. I always—always-- break out in humidity, so I was pleasantly surprised when that didn’t happen. At all. All week. I chalk it up to this stuff, as that was the only change I really made.
It contains salicylic acid, willowbark extract, African bark extract, and natural fruit AHAs which all help to unclog the pores and reduce the acne. I am going to go buy a big ‘ol tube of it!
